Alone Together, a small bi-monthly newsletter/forum for survivors of childhood abuse and trauma, began as in May, 1997 and continued through January, 2007. For ten years, we never missed an issue. In 2002, Raven Publishing, as we named our company when it was only publishing AT, became an official publisher of books as well. Although growth of the newsletter was slow and small and expensive to produce, we never felt we could abandon the few faithful subscribers and the growing number of contributors.

 

At the beginning of the year, however, we made the business decision to hand it over to someone else so we could devote our resources to book publishing. We had a volunteer who would put it on her website. We designed one final 30 page issue of Alone Together, but were forced to put printing and mailing on hold for lack of funds. In the meantime, we forwarded submissions to the new editor.

 

It has taken many months and a reminder from a contributor, for us to wake up and realize that the new online version wasn’t getting done, and that we still need to print and mail the “May/June) issue. We’ll call it our 2007 issue and with minor revisions will print and mail it soon. We’d like to prepare an annual print edition from now on, but in the meantime, we are taking AT online ourselves. We will publish your submissions of stories, poetry, art, and articles in the form on this blog.  You may post by simply adding comments to any post, or you may send your submission to us, with permission to publish, at the following e-mails and we’ll give it a new post or a page of it’s own.
